BIO
Cole Abram was born and raised in Seattle, WA, and graduated from The Lakeside School in 2016. She then went on to graduate from New York University Shanghai in 2021, with a BA in Global China Studies, and a minor in Mandarin, and Interactive Media Arts. Cole is currently in the process of completing her second BA in Apparel Design.
Cole has always had a creative spirit and from a young age took interest in many different artistic disciplines. Her artistic journey began with musical instruments; playing the piano, trumpet, trombone, and euphonium. In undergrad, Cole was a student photographer for school sports and social events and made a living as a freelance photographer. She continues to improve her photography skills as she works with local up-and-coming creators in her free time. Similarly, Cole enjoys painting and drawing and primarily focuses on abstract portraits. More recently, since the Covid-19 pandemic, she took up sewing and hand embroidery and enjoys making things by hand for her loved ones.
Since completing undergrad and returning home to Seattle, Cole has spent time working as a Mandarin Immersion Caregiver/Nanny, an assistant teacher at a Mandarin Immersion preschool, and as program support staff for the non-profit LANGSTON, at Langston Hughes Performing Arts Institute.
Cole is extremely excited to be a part of the ARTE NOIR Family as a Guest Services Associate, where she hopes to meaningfully engage with the customers and artists in the community, and become more immersed in Black art and culture.
