ARTE NOIR EDITORIAL

THANKS, AND GIVING

At this time of Thanksgiving, at ARTE NOIR we are reminded of the many, many things for which we are grateful. In less than two years we have seen interest in this monthly publication experience tremendous growth, and the same is true of our interactions with the abundance of artists with whom we have connected. Our team built, from the ground up, a brand new arts space that reclaims the presence of Black art and culture in our community, and we are poised to keep growing.

ARTE NOIR exists to uplift the beauty and soulfulness of Black art and culture! This is our work, done from our hearts, but only possible because of your support.

We are grateful to the many capital donors who helped us get this far and made it possible for us to have physical doors. This GivingTuesday, happening November 29th, we invite you to join our heART work by making a donation in support of our mission.

You are also invited to make ARTE NOIR your shopping destination on Small Business Saturday, happening November 26th. Your purchases directly support Black artists and makers. Below, you'll find a few of the special items we're promoting for #smallbusinesssaturday:

  • Between 10AM and 12PM only, ARTE NOIR will be offering a complimentary set of branded colored pencils along with the purchase of a coloring book, notebook, or journal.

  • We’re featuring a curated selection of Myron Curry’s colorful resin coaster sets starting at $30 and holiday ornaments at $7 each, or 4 for $20. These will sell like hotcakes!

  • And don't forget to pick up one of our fantastic art books including local gem Barbara Earl Thomas’ The Geography of Innocence, and cookbooks like Bryant Terry’s Black Food: Stories, Art, and Recipes from Across the African Diaspora.

We are open from 10AM to 6PM. Stop in and say hello!

Many thanks for your support and giving!

Vivian Phillips, ARTE NOIR Founder and Board President
