ACES // Artists of Color Expo & Symposium is a BIPOC-led program produced by Shunpike that creates space for artists to be bold and create through experimentation and community intention.
OCTOBER 17 - NOVEMBER 8 | DOWNTOWN SEATTLE | 805 1st AVE
Supported by Shunpike, the Artists of Color Expo & Symposium returns, and this year, it's offering the ACES Gallery, an extended pop-up featuring BIPOC artists, open to the public from October 17 to November 8 in downtown Seattle. The new gallery is situated between Pioneer Square and Downtown, activating previously vacant downtown spaces with art and creativity, and featuring work from 50 local artists, including Abraham Awalom, Sierra Bundy, Jeremy Goodie, and Rubin Quarcoopome, whose work is currently a part of our Across the Diaspora exhibit.
Outside of the listed gallery hours below, the space will also be open during the Downtown Fourth Friday Art Walk on October 24 and the Pioneer Square First Thursday Art Walk on November 6.
Upcoming Special Events Include:
ARTIST SALON – A live studio conversation with featured artists, offering the public a deeper look into their creative journeys. Scheduled for Friday, October 24, at 6 pm. >>RSVP<<
ARTIST DEVELOPMENT SERIES – Relaunching this year with practical workshops and resources designed to support artists in building sustainable careers. Scheduled for Wednesday, October 29 (Registration Required, space limited!) >>REGISTER<<
